The TOR browser may finally reach mass usage through the inclusion in a mainstream Web browser. As a result of news-site agendas, Tor seems to be constantly tagged as an 'illegal' part of the internet, which couldn't be further from the truth. It is time people begin to understand the power of using the internet anonymously when you are looking to protect things like your personal information. Our favorite quote..."In reality, what Tor allows you to do is to browse the Internet anonymously, and access parts of the Internet that are protected from prying eyes."

"The NSA program XKeyscore is a collection and analysis tool and "a computer network exploitation system", as described in an NSA presentation. It is one of the agency’s most ambitious programs devoted to gathering "nearly everything a user does on the internet."

People, it is time to switch your browsing over to the TOR web browser. To keep it simple, it is exactly the same as Safari, Chrome, or the Internet Explorer you likely already use. But TOR, through bouncing your information around multiple spots in the world, helps anonymize your internet browsing history. Although we don't expect the government to really stop recording everything everyone on the internet does, we do think this shows that digital privacy and security is a growing concern. Although it seems that Apple has just pulled the App, a TOR browser application is perfect for browsing the internet securely from your phone. We hope more developers will use the technology in conjunction with their concept. Our favorite quote..."Tor Browser in the Apple App Store is fake. It’s full of adware and spyware. Google is currently being sued by a group of students who had their privacy invaded and now want Google to pay. Our favorite quote from the article..."This should draw the attention of the U.S. Department of Education, the Federal Trade Commission, and state legislatures. ... Student privacy is under attack."

Although this article specifically talks about Bitcoin related apps, we were excited to read this for another reason: The potential for all phone/tablet apps to be run through the TOR network would be an important step in limiting creators' ability to sell your information off to third parties. What does this mean for you (the app user)? USE (potentially all of) YOUR APPLICATIONS ANONYMOUSLY! Full story here --> http://onforb.es/1n2NQ7m

With the TOR-functional clone of Twitter, you can now find others who want to talk about anything, but prefer to do it more anonymously.
